Join the PCBuilder Mythic 24 S2 community challenge
The awesome Mythic series tournament from South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), headline sponsor PCBuilder, returns for its second season in 2024 after a fantastic Valorant event. Now, it’s time for the community to pick up the challenge and help choose the next esports title to feature in Mythic Season 2.
Mythic S2 Community Challenge details
So let’s jump in cause I’m excited. There are five “Mythic Houses” with five game titles and five community leaders, all with the goal of driving their favorite titles to the top, which will become the esports title for Mythic Season 2.
The houses are Fortnite, R6 Siege, Call of Duty, Rocket League, and Valorant. I’m not gonna tell you which house I am supporting cause that would be a bit unfair. In any case, you can join a house by heading to this link and following the instructions as outlined below.
- Go to the Mythic page and click on “Get placed into a House”. This will earn your house +10 points too!
- Get an affiliate link from one of the house community leaders to join a specific house and earn double points for joining!
Once you’ve joined a house, you can earn points so that your house can climb the leaderboards.
How to earn points
- Win matches. Every match win will bring your house +10 points. Play the game your house is representing to earn +20!
- Sign Up. Join and check into your house tournament before 24 October.
- Buy on Takealot. Purchase any of your house brand’s products on Takealot before 21 Oct, send the invoice to shop@acgl.gg and earn +10 points for every R100 spent!
- Build social reach. Post #MythicAMD, #MythicMSI, #MythicPCGamePass, #MythicPatriot or #MythicRedragon along with #Mythic24 on socials to boost house points
- Spend Embers. For every 100 Embers spent at the end of each house giveaway, +5 points will be added to your house!
- Equip your avatar. Customize your profile by equipping your house avatar to earn an additional +5 points!
- Join the weekly hunt. Find all 5 house emblems scattered around ACGL.GG to earn +10 points every week!
- Go click crazy. Click on the Mythic advertising on ACGL.GG every week to earn additional points!
So, just being part of the winning house will give you a chance of winning one of four R500 Takealot vouchers. ACGL also explained that:
“After the community challenge and the winning house is determined, that game will become the final Mythic title for 2024! With R20,000 up for grabs, this is not something to miss out on! The competitive challenge will see a three week group stage, followed by a two weekend, double elimination where the final eight teams will fight for their share of the R20,000 prize pool.”

- 27 October – End of the community challenge
- 1 November – Start of Group Stages
- 25 November – End of Group Stages
- 7-8 December – Playoffs Weekend #1
- 4-15 December – Playoffs Weekend #2
