MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2024 announced
South African tournament organizer, African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), in partnership with MTN, alongside sponsors such as Toyota, PC Builder, Computer Mania, and Redragon, has announced the return of the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience in malls across South Africa, ending with a huge event featuring a R50,000 prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.
MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience details
Starting this week, EA FC 24 players across the country can start signing up to compete in a range of online qualifiers and in-person events at participating Hyprop Malls. The top four players from each heat will move on to the Mall Final, joining the four online qualifiers. Registration for all these events is, of course, completely free of charge. Check out the schedule below.
MTN SHIFT 2024 schedule:
- Somerset Mall Online: Qualifier 9 June
- Somerset Mall Event: 14 to 16 June
- Rosebank Mall Online Qualifier: 16 June
- Rosebank Mall Event: 21 to 23 June
- The Glen Online Qualifier: 23 June
- The Glen Event: 28 to 30 June
- Clearwater Mall Online Qualifier: 7 July
- Clearwater Mall WM Event: 12 to 14 July
- Woodlands Boulevard Online Qualifier: 14 July
- Woodlands Boulevard Event: 19 to 21 July
- Table Bay Mall Online Qualifier: 4 August
- Table Bay Mall Event: 9 to 11 August
- Capegate Online Qualifier: 18 August
- Capegate Event: 23 to 25 August
- Canal Walk Online Qualifier: 8 September
- Canal Walk Event: 11 to 15 September
Following all the events, the National Final of the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2024 will take place in Cape Town at the Canal Walk. The eight finalists from each mall competition will compete for their share of the R50,000 prize pool, with the following prize pool distribution:
- 1st Place: R25,000
- 2nd Place: R15,000
- 3rd Place: R7,500
- 4th Place: R2,500
