League of Legends Challenger Series S4 starting soon
South African tournament organizer Mettlestate has announced the League of Legends Challenger Series Season 4 for all the local LoL esports fans and teams. Here’s what you need to know, so you don’t miss out on competing in this great, fun and competitive league.
LoL Challenger Series Season 4 details
First up, there are both the League of Legends Challenger Series Pro and Open divisions. While you have to earn your spot in the Pro division next season by placing at the top of the Open division, you can join the open division with your team right now.
Registration is completely free, so simply head on over to the event’s page on Mettlestate to enter. Keep in mind that you will need to move quickly, as registration closes on 29 January 2023. The group stage then runs from 30 January to 19 February, and the playoffs begin on 20 February and run until 24 February. The grand finals will take place on 25 February 2023.
There is a total prize pool of R10,000 to fight for. R3,000 is for the Open Division, while R7,000 is for the Pro Division. Check out the prize pool distributions below.
Open Division:
- 1st place – R1,500
- 2nd place – R1,000
- 3rd place – R500
Pro Division:
- 1st place – R3,500
- 2nd place – R2,500
- 3rd place – R1,000
At the end of the season, the bottom four teams from the Pro division and the top 4 teams from Open division each season will play once again for promotion and relegation. After completing a single elimination bracket, the top four teams on the board will be promoted to and seeded for the Pro division in the following season, and the bottom four will be relegated to Open.
