New Dota 2 hero Kez revealed at The International 2024

For Dota 2 esports fans, The International 2024 wasn’t just about watching the best teams in the world compete, and in the end, Team Liquid lifted the Aegis of Champions. There was cosplay, and some announcements as well, to name but a few exciting things. The most exciting reveal of them all, however, was the new Dota 2 hero called Kez! Here’s what we know so far.

Dota 2 Kez hero first details

So, from the announcement trailer, we know that Kez is the head of the Kazurai order and leader of the flightless in Dota 2 lore. We also know that Kez, story-wise, will play a role in the fight to the death with Queen Imperia in Crownfall Act 4, which will finish up the Crownfall saga.

Kez is likely a core hero instead of a support, as Ringmaster was only recently released. Kez is the long-rumored bird samurai hero, and it looks like it might have some evasive abilities, as we can see Kez jumping around in the trailer. That’s really all the information we have right now, so just check out the Kez introduction trailer below!

So when will we learn more about Kez? Likely very soon. Kez will release with Dota 2 Crownfall Act 4, which has a tentative launch window of mid to late October 2024. We’ll share more details about Kez, such as confirmed abilities when they become available.
