IEM Cologne Play-In viewer’s guide
This week, before the massive Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2023 main event gets underway, there’s a critical play-in stage for CS:GO esports fans to enjoy. So you don’t miss out, we’ve got you covered with all the most important details, so let’s jump in.
IEM Cologne 2023 play-in details
A total of 16 teams are competing for just eight spots at the main event of IEM Cologne 2023, where there will be a prize pool of $1 million on the line, which is roughly R17.5 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate. The play-in stage of IEM Cologne runs this week, from 26 to 28 July 2023.
Teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. The opening matches are best-of-one, while all other matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the IEM Cologne 2023 main event group stage, where they will join the eight teams who’ve earned direct invites.
