ESEA Season 45 South Africa results

Since mid-April 2023, the best CS:GO esports teams in South Africa have been competing in the ESEA South Africa Season 45 Main Division, fighting for their share of the $6,650 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s R123,000! Here’s what went down.

Bravado Gaming’s CS:GO squad claimed victory in Season 44, but this season, it was not on the cards. We do have to note that they did play with some standins, and the team did complete in ESL Challenger Katowice (in Poland) earlier this month.

Following a tough Round-Robin group stage, Season 45’s playoffs began, and we saw some fantastic local matches. In the upper bracket, we saw Nixuh knock down Goliath Gaming and VYBN, both with convincing 2-0 wins, to make it to the grand final of ESEA Season 45 South Africa.

Goliath Gaming clawed their way back from the lower bracket, beating Avasive 2-0 and reverse-sweeping Bravado Gaming in an exciting 2-1 match. Then, Goliath Gaming beat VYBN 2-0 to make it to the grand finals and face off against Nixuh.

Unfortunately for Goliath Gaming, Nixuh was in top form and had a one-map advantage for making it through the upper bracket. Nixuh proceeded to win Inferno 16-9 and Overpass 16-13 to become the ESEA Season 45 ZA champions!

Congratulations to Nixuh for winning ESEA Season 45 South Africa main division. They get $3,000, while Goliath Gaming gets $1,900.
