Vitality win 5th consecutive trophy at BLAST Rivals S1
Team Vitality is on an absolute rampage in the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports scene, claiming a 25-game historic win streak, and five consecutive S-Tier event titles in a row after lifting the BLAST Rivals Season 1 trophy in Copenhagen this past weekend. Here are the final results and standings.
BLAST Rivals Season 1 results & standings
Team Vitality got off to a fantastic start to BLAST Rivals Season 1, topping Group A with a clean 2-0 record, while Team Falcons topped Group B with ease.
The Russian side, Team Spirit, took down Wildcard Gaming with a 2-0 in the quarterfinals, then fell to Team Vitality in the semifinals, as Dan “apEX” Madesclaire made their way to the grand finale. On the other side of the bracket, MOUZ defeated FaZe Clan 2-0, then fell to Team Falcons 2-0 in the semifinals match.
In the grand finale of BLAST Rivals Season 1, Team Falcons drew first blood with a 13-9 win on Inferno. Vitality instantly responded with a 13-6 win on Dust II and a 13-6 win on Train. Team Falcons then put up a solid fight on Mirage to win 16-14 in overtime. However, Team Vitality dug deep to secure a 3-2 victory with a 13-8 win on Nuke.
A big congratulations go out to Team Vitality for winning their 5th consecutive S-Tier CS2 esports event, beating Team Falcons 3-2 in the Grand Final of BLAST Rivals Season 1. Team Vitality also now has the second-longest win streak in Counter-Strike history, with 25 matches won in a row, beating Team Liquid’s 23 match win streak.
