PGL Astana 2025 viewer’s guide

Mark your calendars, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans! The action never stops, and we are excited to report that the next big S-Tier event, PGL Astrana 2025, begins this coming weekend. Here’s what you need to know so you don’t miss any of the action.

PGL Astana 2025 event details

The PGL Astana 2025 tournament is an S-Tier event, running from Saturday, 10 May 2025, until Sunday, 18 May 2025. The playoffs of PGL Astana 2025 will take place in front of a crowd at the Barys Arena venue in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The teams are fighting for their share of the combined $1,250,000 prize pool, split evenly between a regular prize pool and club reward. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R23 million!

The tournament kicks off with a 16 Team Swiss System Format group, where all matches are BO3. The top eight teams proceed to the Playoffs Stage, and the bottom eight teams are eliminated.

The top eight teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket where all matches are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which is BO5.
