IEM Rio 2024 results and highlights video
I’m sure that Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans had a wonderful time watching the IEM Rio 2024 event take place in Brazil at the Farmasi Arena venue in Rio de Janeiro. With 16 of the best CS2 teams in the world competing for their share of the $250,000 prize pool and a spot at IEM Katowice 2025, the tension was high right from the start. Let’s dive in and explain what went down!
NAVI wins IEM Rio 2024 in style
We saw some huge upsets in the Group Stage, with G2 Esports and Astralis getting eliminated early in Group B and Brazillian squad FURIA Esports beating both MOUZ and NAVI in Group A.

In the Playoffs of IEM Rio 2024, MOUZ reverse-sweeped one of the favorites, Team Vitality, and then broke FURIA Esports with a dominating 2-0 to make it to the grand finale. On the other side of the bracket, NAVI smashed Virtus.pro 2-0 and then reverse-sweeped an on-form HEROIC to make it to the grand finale of IEM Riot 2024.
In the IEM Rio 2024 grand finale, we saw NAVI come out of the gate swinging, beating MOUZ 13-11 on Inferno and 13-2 on Dust2.
MOUZ retaliated with a surprising 13-6 win on Mirage before NAVI finished off proceedings with a solid 13-11 victory on Ancient to close out the IEM Rio 2024 grand finale with a score of 3-1.
Congratulations go out to NAVI for winning IEM Rio 2024, earning the first-place prize of $100,000, and a guaranteed spot at IEM Katowice 2025. NAVI’s Mihai “iM” Ivan picks up his first MVP award.
