In the BLAST Open Season 1 Lisbon Playoffs Stage, the sparks flew, with Team Spirit eliminating NAVI with a strong 2-0 in the Quarterfinals, while MOUZ sent G2 Esports packing with a 2-0.

Despite a powerful performance in the Group Stage, the Turkish side Eternal Fire couldn’t win one map in the Semifinal, as MOUZ secured their spot in the Grand Final with another solid 2-0 victory. On the other side of the bracket, Team Vitality had a close call against Team Spirit, but managed to eliminate the Russian side with a 2-1 win to move on to the Grand Final of BLAST Open Season 1 Lisbon.

Team Vitality took an early 1-0 lead in the Grand Final, delivering a devastating 13-0 against MOUZ on Inferno. That would crush the spirit of any squad, but it’s almost as if the 13-0 loss invigorated MOUZ. MOUZ bounced back in style, winning Mirage 13-11 and Dust II 13-11 to put themselves one win away from match point, but Team Vitality wasn’t done delivering the trauma just yet.

Team Vitality took control of Nuke with a strong 13-7 win to tie the BO5 series 2-2. On the last map, Train, Team Vitality put their momentum to good use and won 13-7, thereby becoming the BLAST Open Season 1 Lisbon champions.

Congratulations to Team Vitality for winning the tournament in style, and to their legendary AWPer, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, for picking up his 17th big LAN MVP award!
