MTN SHIFT event at Woodlands Mall this weekend

The ultimate gaming showdown returns to malls across South Africa with the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2026, thanks to MTN, South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), and a host of sponsors. Here’s what you must know if you plan on attending! 

MTN SHIFT Woodlands Mall details

First up, this is an in-person event taking place in Pretoria at the Woodlands Boulevard Shopping Complex. The event runs this weekend, from 12 to 14 June 2026. You can head there to watch and compete in some awesome gaming activities. If you haven’t been to one before, they are fantastic, well-organized, and there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy.

The main event is the qualifier for the EA FC 26 National Football Tournament. There are the following prizes up for grabs:

• 1st – R2,500 gift card
• 2nd – R1,500 gift card
• 3rd – R1,000 gift card

The winner also gets to compete in the National Final at Canal Walk on 30 August 2026, where a huge R50,000 prize pool is on the line.

Apart from the football, there’s also a bunch of other experiences that anyone who wants to can compete in. Entry is completely free, so just bring your skill to the MTN SHIFT event at Woodlands Mall!
