Legacy tramples Falcons to win CS Asia Championships 2026
Shock and awe at the CS Asia Championships 2026, as Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans were left breathless during the Grand Final. Let’s take a look at what went down at the final top-tier LAN event before we get to the Major Championship.
Legacy wins CS Asia Championships 2026
The CS Asia Championships 2026 took place in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai Yuanshen Gymnasium from 20 to 24 May 2026.
While many of the biggest names in Counter-Strike, such as Team Vitality and NAVI, skipped the event, we saw teams like MOUZ and Team Falcons compete. The latter, of course, was the clear favorite, with Finn “karrigan” Andersen now at the helm.
Falcons easily topped Group A, beating Legacy 2-0 in the group’s final match. In Group B, MIBR took care of B8 to claim the top spot. In the Playoffs Stage, Team Falcons beat MOUZ 2-1 with a dramatic reverse-sweep comeback to reach the Grand Final.
On the other side of the bracket, the Brazilian squad and defending champions, Legacy, had to take care of The MongolZ with a 2-1 win and MIBR 2-0 to reach the Grand Finals. MOUZ got third by beating MIBR 2-0 in the third-place decider match.
In the Grand Final of CS Asia Championships 2026, Team Falcons were the clear favorites, looking for their first trophy lift of the year. The superteam got off to a strong start on Nuke, beating Legacy 13-11. However, Legacy showed us why they are the defending champions, smashing Falcons 13-9 on Ancient, 13-5 on Mirage, and 13-6 on Dust2 to win 3-1, thereby lifting the CS Asia Championships 2026 trophy!
