Tundra wins DreamLeague Season 28
After crashing out of BLAST Slam VI quite early, fans were wondering how Tundra Esports would fare at DreamLeague Season 28. After all, the squad has been dominating recently.
Well, Tundra Esports fans can rest easy. The squad showcased how they could bounce back quickly from a devastating loss, with Neta “33” Shapira leading by example. In the Group Stage, they ended 2nd in Group B, above the likes of Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming.
When it was time for the Playoffs Stage of DreamLeague Season 28, Tundra Esports easily took out Team Liquid in the Upper Bracket final with a 2-0 score to earn a spot in the Grand Final.
On the other side of the bracket, Aurora Gaming impressed, first reverse-sweeping Chinese powerhouse Xtreme Gaming with a 2-1 score. Aurora Gaming then swept Team Liquid under the rug with a clean 2-0 win to make it to the Grand Final.
In the DreamLeague Season 28 Grand Final, Tundra Esports won the first two games in a row. While Aurora Gaming did bounce back to win the third game to extend play, Tundra Esports won the 4th for a final score of 3-1. Congratulations!
