RLCS 2026 SSA Open 2 results & final standings
The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 is in full swing, with teams from the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region competing for one spot at the upcoming Boston Major. Things are heating up, so let’s jump straight into the results of RLCS 2026 SSA Open 2.
Five Fears wins RLCS 2026 SSA Open 2
From 10 to 18 January 2026, 32 teams competed for their share of the $32,100 prize pool at the RLCS 2026 SSA Open 2 event. That’s roughly R537,000 at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate!
Five Fears and Pioneers met in the Open 1 event’s Grand Final, and this time around, the exact same matchup occurred to determine a winner. Pioneers barreled through Group A, and Five Fears through Group B.
In the Playoffs, Five Fears took out Brocrocros 4-0, and Amapiano 4-1 to make it to the Grand Final. On the other side of the bracket, Pioneers smashed White Rabbit Gaming 4-0 and beat Astronic Esports 4-2. In the Grand Final of RLCS 2026 SSA Open 2, it was Five Fears who came out on top, beating Pioneers 4-2 to claim the first-place prize.
For those who don’t know, Five Fears features two South African players, Gareth “Snowyy” Spiers and Brayden “gunz” Keith, alongside Spanish player Óscar “tehqoz” Arco.
With the win, the team is now dead even with Pioneers at 25 RLCS points, who won the Open 1 event. Therefore, Open 3 will determine which team represents the SSA region at the RLCS 2026 Boston Major.
