FISSURE Playground 2 was the first top-tier Dota 2 esports tournament to finish up after the events of The International 2025, making it an utterly exciting event to watch unfold as the meta shifts. Here’s what went down at the tournament.
Team Falcons wins FISSURE Playground 2
The International 2025 champions, Team Falcons, got off to a flying start at FISSURE Playground 2’s group stage, topping the leaderboard with a 3-0 score, alongside Team Spirit. We also saw some upsets occur, with underdogs Team Yandex smashing favorites to go 3-1, while the likes of Aurora Gaming, PARIVISION, and Vici Gaming couldn’t even make it to the Playoffs Stage.
In the double-elimination Playoffs Stage, MOUZ shocked Team Falcons with a 2-0 win, sending them to the lower bracket. In the lower bracket, however, Team Falcons flourished.
Team Falcons beat Tundra Esports (2-1) and Team Spirit (2-1), then reverse-swept Team Liquid (2-1) and eliminated Team Yandex (2-0) to claim a spot in the Grand Final.
In the Upper Bracket, BetBoom Team pulled off a reverse-sweep against Team Liquid (2-1), then beat Team Spirit (2-1) and Team Yandex (2-1) for a spot in the Grand Final.
BetBoom Team won the first game of the best-of-five Grand Final, but Team Falcons proved unstoppable. Team Falcons won the next three games in a row to close out the series 3-1, and lift the FISSURE Playground 2 trophy. Congratulations!
