ESL reveals schedule for six top-tier CS2 LAN events in 2028
Well, I guess we have a lot of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports action to look forward to, even in the rather distant future. While there wasn’t much doubt that CS2 esports will continue to thrive, it’s fantastic to see tournament organizer ESL already announce six big Tier 1 LAN events for 2028.

Attention, CS2 fans: You can now mark your calendars and plan for an exciting range of tournaments in 2028. I know that’s quite a long way off, but still, it’s nice to have a schedule.
With that in mind, the tournament organizer took to social media to explain that:
With the second half of 2025 well underway, we turn our attention for a brief moment towards 2028 and our event footprint. Today, we’re announcing the full breakdown of calendar dates for the 6 ESL events we will run in 2028 and as a part of the #ESLProTour for Counter-Strike.

- ESL Event #1 – 26 January to 6 February 2028
- ESL Event #2 – March 3-19
- ESL Event #3 – April 10-16
- ESL Event #4 – August 2-13
- ESL Event #5 – September 16-October 1
- ESL Event #6 – October 23-29
The first event is likely IEM Krakow 2028 (which replaced the Katowice series), and the one at the start of August is very likely IEM Cologne 2028. ESL has, however, not confirmed these details as of yet, and we only have the dates of the six events.
