Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans were treated to not one, but two big events coming to an end over the past weekend. We’ve already covered the results of the CS Asia Championships 2025, and now, it’s time to lookat what went down at the Thunderpick World Championship (TWC) 2025.
FURIA bests NAVI at TWC 2025 finals
On LAN in Malta at the TWC 2025 finals, we saw FURIA lift another trophy, showcasing how their win at FISSURE Playground 2 wasn’t a fluke, but a testament to their skill.
Led by Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, FURIA smashed their way through Group A, while NAVI cruised through Group B, earning spots in the Playoffs Stage, one step closer to the lion’s share of the huge $850,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R14.7 million.
In the Playoffs, FURIA made quick work of Turkish powerhouse Aurora Gaming with a 2-0 to reach the Grand Final, while NAVI sent defending champions The MongolZ packing after a heated 2-1 affair.
In the best-of-five TWC 2025 Grand Final, it was NAVI who took a huge 2-0 lead. However, digging deeper than ever before, FURIA pushed back with vigor, winning the next three maps in a row to complete a massive reverse-sweep comeback for a score of 3-2. Congratulations!
