Your Dota 2 viewer’s guide to BLAST Slam IV

Are you ready for the first big, S-Tier Dota 2 esports tournament following The International 2025? Well, ready or not, BLAST Slam IV kicks off this week. Here’s what Dota 2 esports fans must know about the tournament, including teams competing, format, schedule, and more.

BLAST Slam IV important details

First and foremost, BLAST Slam IV runs from 14 October to 9 November 2025. There are 12 teams competing for a combined $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R17.3 million to fight for.

The tournament starts with an online stage, featuring 12 teams competing in best-of-one matches with a Round Robin format. The top two teams advance directly to the Semifinals of the Playoffs, while the 3rd to 8th place teams advance to the Play-In Stage, and the 9th to 12th place teams advance to the Last Chance Playoffs.

In the Last Chance stage, all matches are best-of-three, with the winner advancing to the Play-In Stage. During the Play-In Stage, all matches are BO3. Winners advance to the Quarterfinals, while the rest are eliminated.

The Playoffs Stage runs from 7 to 9 November 2025, live on LAN at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This stage of competition features a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which is BO5.
