Your viewer’s guide to the TWC 2025 Finals

Just as the ESL Pro League Season 22 event comes to an end, another big Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament begins. We are, of course, talking about the huge Thunderpick World Championship (TWC) 2025 finals, taking place this week. Here’s what CS2 esports fans must know.

TWC 2025 finals details

After months of competition in regional events and a closed qualifier, the TWC 2025 event is coming to a thrilling conclusion this week.

The LAN finals take place in Malta, from 15 to 19 October 2025, where eight teams (four invited, four qualified) will fight for their share of the $850,000 prize pool. That’s roughly R14.7 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate.

All teams will first start in the Group Stage, with two groups of four teams each competing in a double-elimination format GSL-style setup. The top two teams from each group advance to the Playoffs Stage.

Group A teams:

  • The MongolZ
  • FURIA
  • OG
  • 9z Team

Group B teams:

  • Aurora Gaming
  • NAVI
  • Imperial Esports
  • Team Venom

The Playoffs Stage features a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-three. There’s also a third-place decider, in case you were wondering.

CS2 esports fans can watch all the TWC 2025 Finals action via the official Thunderpick.tv Twitch channel, or the Kick and YouTube channels. The choice is yours! Stay tuned to Esports Central as we’ll bring you the results from the event, and much more.
