The International 2025’s playoffs bracket is set

The battle for the Aegis of Champions is heating up, as the 16 Dota 2 esports teams attending The International 2025 have been whittled down to just eight. This weekend, the annual event comes to a thrilling conclusion in Hamburg, Germany, at the Barclays Arena. Here’s what you need to know about the Playoffs Stage to avoid missing out.

Playoffs Stage at The International 2025

With the Swiss Stage and the Elimination Round, also known as “Road to The International,” now complete, it’s time to turn our attention to the Playoffs Stage taking place this weekend. We’ve already seen favorites such as Team Spirit eliminated, while Chinese Dota appears to be rising, with Xtreme Gaming topping the charts during the Swiss Stage.

The Playoffs Stage, also branded as The International, will run from 11 to 14 September 2025. The remaining teams are competing in a double-elimination bracket, where the Grand Final is best-of-five, and the rest of the matches are best-of-three.

Check out the opening matches (Upper Bracket Quarterfinals) of The International 2025’s Playoffs Stage outlined below, with times in SAST for good measure.

  • Xtreme Gaming vs. Tundra Esports – 11 September starting at 10:00.
  • PARIVISION vs. HEROIC – 11 September starting at 13:00.
  • Team Tidebound vs. Team Falcons – 11 September starting at 16:00.
  • BetBoom Team vs. Nigma Galaxy – 11 September starting at 19:00.

If you only have time to watch the Grand Final, note that the best-of-five match begins on Sunday, 14 September, at 13:00 SAST. Enjoy!
