South Africans JT and T.c reunite on Passion UA roster

Back in April, we reported on how South African Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports coach Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen moved to Passion UA as the head coach, after parting ways with Complexity Gaming in March. Well, it turns out that Complexity has now left the CS2 esports scene, citing economic difficulties.

Four players from the old Complexity roster have now moved to Passion UA, and as such, there’s a little bit of a reunion to celebrate. Yes, South African in-game leader (IGL) Johnny “JT” Theodosiou will once again play with coach Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen, this time on Passion UA!

In the roster announcement, the Ukranian organization said: “We are writing the next page of our history, the updated roster is ready to fight for every round and prove that true passion always finds a way.”

I, for one, cannot wait to see how the renewed Passion UA roster performs in the coming months. The squad has a lot of potential, and it’s always fantastic to follow South African gamers competing on the international stage.

  • Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol
  • Michael “Grim” Wince
  • Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli
  • Nick “nicx” Lee
  • Johnny “JT” Theodosiou (IGL)
  • Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (coach)

Stay tuned to Esports Central. I’ll be sure to let you know how Passion UA does this year, and beyond. We’ll also cover all the biggest CS2 esports events, and much more.
