Telkom VS Gaming at Comic Con Africa this weekend
In case you’ve been living under a rock, you should probably know that Comic Con Africa is taking place in Johannesburg this weekend, from 28 to 31 August 2025 at the Expo Centre.
It’s South Africa’s biggest pop culture and gaming expo, and as such, there’s quite a bit of esports to enjoy and competitions for gamers to enter. Let’s take a look at the Telkom VS Gaming offerings at Comic Con Africa, according to the dedicated page on the Comic Con Africa website.
The Main Stage Esports
On the Main Stage, you’ll see the top eight Telkom VS Gaming Masters CS2 teams compete, and the top four HSEL CS2 teams. Further, there’s also the top eight Rocket League Championship teams and the top four HSEL Rocket League teams, offering up some fantastic esports to watch.

Free-to-Play Zone
Visit the Telkom VS Gaming Mobile Gaming Free-to-Play zone powered by Samsung for some good fun, celebrating mobile-first gamers.

You can and should visit the Openserve stand at Comic Con Africa, where you can compete in the racing simulator challenge, boasting two racing setups and daily competitions. There’s a lot to enjoy. Best of all, the first-place prize for the fastest lap during Comic Con Africa is a R10,000 cash prize!
