PUBG at EWC 2025 viewer’s guide
Attention, Battle Royale esports fans! The Esports World Cup 2025 mega-event is a gift that keeps on giving, with an exciting PUBG tournament boasting a huge prize pool taking place this week. Let’s dive straight in to discuss the most important details so you don’t miss out.
EWC PUBG event details
From 12 to 16 August 2025, the world’s top squads will compete live on stage at the BR Arena, Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia.
All squads will first compete in the Group Stage, where the bottom eight teams will be eliminated, and the top 16 will move on to the Grand Final, where 12 matches in total will be played to find a winner, winner, chicken dinner!
The 24 squads will compete for their share of the $2 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R35.5 million. Teams are competing not only for their share of the massive prize pool but also for EWC Club Points and PUBG Global Championship points, which could secure them a spot in the crowning event in December 2025.
