EWC 2025 League of Legends viewer’s guide

In this guide, we’ll take a look at the EWC 2025 League of Legends tournament, including the format, important dates, teams competing, and where you can watch the action live, so let’s strap in and get started.
Essential EWC 2025 LoL details
Mark those calendars, as the EWC 2025 LoL tournament will run from 16 to 20 July 2025. Teams are competing at the STC Esports Arena venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for their share of the huge $2 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R35.5 million.
Eight teams will start in a double-elimination format GSL-style Group Stage. Each group has four teams, and all matches are best-of-one, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Playoffs Stage, while the rest are eliminated.
From 18 to 20 July, eight teams (four from the Group Stage and four direct invites) will compete in a single elimination bracket, where matches are best-of-three, except for the Grand Final, which is best-of-five. All matches are played using the Fearless Draft system.
Four teams have earned spots directly in the Playoffs Stage, while another eight are starting their journey in the Group Stage of the EWC 2025 LoL event. T1 are the defending champions, having won the EWC 2024 event in style.
