Are you ready, VALORANT esports fans? You should be, since Riot Games’ team-based tactical FPS is one of the first titles in this year’s The Esports World Cup mega-event! Here’s what you need to know about the EWC 2025 VALORANT tournament.
VALORANT EWC 2025 details
The tournament is taking place at the Boulevard Riyadh City in Saudi Arabia, running from 8 to 13 July 2025. The best 16 VALORANT esports teams in the world are competing for their share of the $1.25 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R22 million! The winner walks away with the lion’s share at $500,000.
The Group Stage of the EWC 2025 VALORANT event takes place from 8 to 10 July 2025, featuring four double-elimination GSL-style groups, where all matches are BO3. The top two teams from each group advance ot the Playoffs. In the Playoffs Stage (11 to 13 July), teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Most matches are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which is BO5.
