s1mple returns to CS on loan with FaZe Clan
Considered by many as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) of Counter-Strike, the Ukrainian legend Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev will compete in top-tier Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports action soon, and we can’t be more excited!
s1mple’s return to CS2
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev will compete for FaZe Clan (on loan from NAVI) at both IEM Dallas 2025, which kicks off this weekend, and for the BLAST.tv Austin Major. The organization benched Helvijs “broky” Saukants recently
FaZe Clan took to X to announce s1mple’s return to Counter-Strike:
s1mple, therefore, reunites with Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, with whom he previously played on Team Liquid back in 2016. At the time of writing, it is unclear what will happen to s1mple after the BLAST.tv Austin Major ends.
Will s1mple pop off on the server and make his presence felt at IEM Dallas 2025, or will this be a practice run for the BLAST.tv Austin Major? I, for one, cannot wait to find out, since the GOAT creates an electrifying viewing experience even if he loses.
Stay tuned to ESC as we’ll bring you the latest from IEM Dallas 2025, the BLAST.tv Austin Major, and much more. Be on the lookout for our complete viewer’s guides!
