ACGL SZN 2: A huge R90,000 prize pool & nine titles
South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) just keeps on giving! They launched a brand-new system in 2025, run dozens of events each month, and now, I’m excited to report about ACGL SZN 2, aka Season 2.
What will be the biggest highlight for most local gamers is that ACGL SZN 2 boasts a massive combined prize pool of R90,000, and it’s completely free to enter, and any local gamer can compete. Here’s what you need to know.
ACGL SZN 2 important details
First up, there are nine titles in the announcement post from ACGL. Each of these titles has a minimum prize pool of R10,000, alongside tournaments to win Embers and more. The titles are:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Call of Duty: Mobile
- Brawlhalla
- Brawl Stars
- EA Sports FC Mobile
- EA Sports FC 25 (new gen)
- Fortnite
- VALORANT
- Free Fire
Rocket League isn’t on the list since the RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major SSA Open has that covered!
These are all online events. The action begins on 5 May and ends on 4 July, offering two months of non-stop competitive action no one should miss out on. You can register for one, some, or all of the tournaments right now, as registrations opened on 16 April 2025. Click on this link to start registering!
Wow, just wow! I, for one, cannot wait to learn more about the additions to ACGL SZN 2, which is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting online prospects for local gamers this year. ACGL isn’t even done yet. Instead, the organizer also teased that:
There are some EPIC additions to Season 2 that will be announced over the next week as well that will add some boosts to existing prize pools, opportunities to qualify for some major events, and a shot at an international event!
Don’t forget to stay up-to-date with all their announcements by following ACGL on Twitter and Facebook and joining their Discord server.
