TTGE’s R10,000 Brawl Stars event “family brawl” detailed
It’s all good news for South African esports organizer The Toyota Gaming Engine (TTGE), who continues to deliver fun tournaments with big prize pools for all local gamers. This time, it’s a bit of a family affair, with the 3v3 Brawl Stars event aptly named “family brawl.” Let’s dive in and take a look at the most important details so no group of local gamers misses out.
ICYMI: TTGE got another significant partnership boost from Toyota SA and ACGL recently.
TTGE Family Brawl Details
First up, it is completely free to enter. All you need to do is register for a free account in mere minutes on the TTGE website. Get your friends, family, or crew or anyone at all really, to register as well, so you can enter the Brawl Stars event as a team of three.
There are two qualifiers leading up to the finals, and both of them take place this week! Check out the important dates and links to both qualifiers below:
- 18 March – Qualifier 1
- 20 March – Qualifier 2
- 28 March – Finals
Registration is open. The signup deadline is just 5 minutes before these qualifiers get underway. Both qualifiers on their respective days begin at 20:00 SAST, with check-ins opening at 19:00 and registration closing at 19:55. The top eight teams from each qualifier (single-elimination bracket) will make it through to the finals, where they will compete for their share of the R10,000 prize pool.
Prize Pool Distribution:
- 1st place – R5,000
- 2nd place – R3,000
- 3rd place – R2,000
It looks like there will also be some celebrity contenders to meet. TTGE explains:
“TTGE is levelling up the mobile gaming scene – dropping the first-ever Brawl Stars tournament! Every gaming enthusiast, from pros to noobs, needs to get involved in this sweet action. And we’ve invited some familiar faces to compete against you—and one another—for a Family Brawl! Say what’s up to your celeb contenders Motshidisi Mohono and Bennie Fourie and their fam. Oh and they’ll have some tricks up their sleeves, thanks to pro mentors Julia Robson and BeamerBoy!”
