Results for VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff
At the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea, 12 of the best teams from the region competed for only two spots at Masters Bangkok. For those who are unaware, APAC is considered one of, if not the strongest, regions in Valorant esports.
DRX got off to a strong start, beating Nongshim RedForce 2-1 and then surprising many fans by beating the favorites, Gen.G Esports, with a 2-0 to make it to the upper bracket finale, where they managed to reverse-sweep T1 in an exciting 2-1 slugfest for a spot in the grand finale.
After their defeat against DRX, Gen.G Esports bounced back in the lower bracket to beat DetonatioN FM 2-0 and Talon Esports 2-0 before running into the T1-shaped brick wall. After an intense BO5 series that went the distance, T1 came out on top to make it to the grand finale of the VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff event.
In front of a live crowd, however, DRX could not be stopped. They beat T1 in an intense BO5 grand finale with a score of 3-2 to win VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff, a spot at Masters Bangkok, and 3 VCT Pacific Points. T1 earned the second spot at Masters Bangkok and 1 VCT Pacific Point, which means Gen.G won’t be attending the event.
