PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 viewer’s guide
With IEM Katowice 2025 complete, it’s time for another huge Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports tournament to begin because there’s no rest for the teams and fans! The next big event starts on Valentine’s Day. I am, of course, talking about PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, taking place in Romania. Here’s what you need to know.
PGL Cluj-Napoca details
This huge LAN event takes place from 14 to 23 February 2025, over two stages of competition. First, the Group stage will take place at the PGL Studio venue. All matches are best-of-three in this Swiss System Format stage, with all 16 teams in one big group.
Following the Group stage, from 21 to 23 February 2025, the playoffs will take place in front of a live crowd, where the top eight teams will compete for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R23 million.
The playoff stage features a single elimination bracket, where the Grand Final is best-of-five, and all the other matches are best-of-three. Check out the list of teams competing below.
