BLAST Slam II Dota 2 viewer’s guide

It’s a big week for Dota 2 esports fans, with a huge event to enjoy. We are, of course, talking about one of the first few S-Tier tournaments of 2025: the BLAST Slam II, from tournament organizer BLAST.tv. Here’s what you need to know so you don’t miss out on any of the top-tier action.

BLAST Slam II details

The BLAST Slam II event runs from this week, from Tuesday, 4 February 2025, until Sunday, 9 February 2025. There are 10 teams competing for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R18.7 million to fight for, nice!

The tournament starts two round-robin groups, where all matches are best-of-one. Teams will then be seeded in the playoffs according to their placement in their respective groups with a King of the Hill type of system. No teams are eliminated during this stage of the competition.

The BLAST Slam II teams are:

  • PARIVISION
  • BetBoom Team
  • Team Liquid
  • Tundra Esports
  • Team Falcons
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Nigma Galaxy
  • Yakult Brothers
  • Talon Esports

All teams, based on their standings after the groups, will compete in the BLAST Slam II playoffs stage. It’s a single-elimination bracket affair, where all matches are best-of-three, except for the grand finale, which promises to be a best-of-five slugfest. We can’t wait to see who comes out on top!

You can watch the BLAST Slam II Dota 2 esports action live via the tournament organizer’s YouTube or Twitch channels. Stay tuned at ESC as we will bring you the results and final standings when the event finishes up.
