PUBG Dropstars Solo tournament – What you need to know

ATK Arena has announced the PUBG Dropstars Solo tournament for South Africans to compete in. The top players from the South African qualifiers will then compete in the international grand finals, and there’s a very nice prize pool up for grabs.

PUBG Dropstars Solo tournament details

The PUBG Dropstars Solo tournament is a five-stage event which begins with South African open qualifiers. The open qualifiers are split over three separate dates from 21 June to 3 July, giving players three opportunities to qualify for the regional final.

The top 30 players from the South African regional final will compete in the international grand final against 40 players from Turkey, and 30 players from MEA.

You can head on over to the Dropstars Solo Toornament page to register for the first qualifier. Check out the South African qualifier dates and important details below.

Open Qualifier 1:
  • Date: 21st June
  • Time: 13:00
  • Format: Custom lobby / Best of 3 / Erangel
  • Top 35 qualify for the Regional Final.
Open Qualifier 2:
  • Date: 26th June
  • Time: 19:00
  • Format: Custom lobby / Best of 3 / Erangel
  • Top 35 qualify for Regional Final.
Open Qualifier 3:
  • Date: 3rd July
  • Time: 19:00
  • Format: Custom lobby / Best of 3 / Erangel
  • Top 30 qualify for Regional Final.

The regional final will then take place between 3 and 5 July 2020.

The regional final prize pool distribution:
  • 1st – $200
  • 2nd – $150
  • 3rd – $75
  • 4th – $50
  • 5th – $25

The top 30 players from the South African regional final will then compete in the international grand final.

The prize pool distribution is:
  • 1st – $1000
  • 2nd – $600
  • 3rd – $300
  • 4th – $150
  • 5th – $75
  • 6th – $75
  • 7th – $75
  • 8th – $75
  • 9th – $75
  • 10th – $75
