Your guide to Crossfire at EWC 2026
The final week of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event is here, with the last three tournaments starting and the CS2 tournament currently running finishing up. That’s right: we’ll know who wins the Club Championship soon.
The tactical shooter Crossfire is one of the final three events to begin this week, running from 18 to 22 August 2026. Taking place live on LAN, the best 16 teams globally will compete in Paris, France, for their share of the $2 million prize pool. That’s roughly R32.4 million at the current exchange rate!
It begins with the Group Stage running from 18 to 20 August 2026. There are two groups of eight teams each, and a GSL-style format is used, with all matches being BO3.
The top four teams from each group advance to the Playoffs Stage (20 to 22 August), featuring a single-elimination bracket. Quarterfinals matches are BO3, and all other matches are BO5.
