Gaimin Gladiators win Bali Major 2023

Gaimin Gladiators won the Lima Major, the ESL One Berlin Major, DreamLeague Season 19, and DreamLeague Season 20 heading into the Bali Major 2023 as the clear favourites. After finishing third in their group, Gaimin Gladiators bounced back in the playoffs, beating beastcoast 2-1 with an exciting reverse sweep.

Gaimin Gladiators then smacked Quest Esports down to the lower bracket with a 2-1 before wrecking Tundra Esports 2-0 to make it to the grand final of the Bali Major 2023.

Team Liquid topped their group and looked on form in the playoffs as they beat Chinese powerhouse PSG.LGD 2-1 in the first round. However, Team Liquid fell to Tundra Esports in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Team Liquid fought back through the lower bracket, eliminating 9Pandas 2-1, Quest Esports 2-1, and took revenge on Tundra Esports with a 2-0 stomping to face Gaimin Gladiators in the grand final.

In the grand final of the Bali Major 2023, Gaimin Gladiators won the first map, and while Team Liquid managed to win the second, Gaimin Gladiators closed out proceedings with a 3-1 victory. Gaimin Gladiators gets $200,000 for their win, while Team Liquid limps away with $100,000 in prize money. Gaimin Gladiators proved once again that they are currently the best team in the world.
