New Deadlock Hero Deadman Danny: Weapon & Abilities
The Deadlock community has voted, and another new hero entered The Cursed Apple. In case you didn’t know, as part of the massive City Never Sleeps update, Valve is doing a staggered release of the update’s six heroes, based on votes from the community in-game.
The newest addition is Deadman Danny, the notorious supernatural gunslinger bringing old-west terror straight to the alleys of Deadlock. Before we get to the ability details and weapon stats, let’s first check out a lore description to get the blood flowing:
“They say you can hear the clicking of phantom spurs down the fog-shrouded corridors of the underworld long before you ever see him. Deadman Danny didn’t just cheat the hangman—he traded his soul for a six-shooter that never misses its mark and a constitution cold enough to stop a charging bull. In the heat of combat, Danny throws out his Ghostwire, lassoing fleeing targets into the afterlife, while his trusty revolvers fan out a storm of cursed lead. Outlaws in the park know it’s best to keep your head down when the sun dips below the horizon, because when Danny’s revolver starts spinning, someone’s number is up…”
Now, let’s dive into the details, starting with Deadman Danny’s weapon in Deadlock.
Deadman Danny’s Weapon
One of the most hard-hitting weapons in Deadlock thus far has to be Deadman Danny’s Twin Iron. They are dual-wielded supernatural revolvers!
Twin Iron is rapid-fire and medium-range, dealing 32 damage per second per shot. The fall-off range is 12 to 38 meters, which is quite deadly considering the high accuracy and burst potential.
Deadlock Deadman Danny Abilities Explained
Check out the list of abilities and ultimate for Deadman Danny in Deadlock outlined below, with official descriptions.
- Ghostwire – Cast a spectral tether that latches onto your crosshair, dragging enemies toward you or pulling Danny rapidly toward high terrain, dealing spirit damage and slowing enemy movement speed. While holding a tethered target, Danny’s next revolver shot deals bonus spirit damage.
- Grave Digger – Your boots sink into the cursed earth, granting bonus bullet armor, health regeneration, and increased melee knockback.
- Light Melee: Perform a sweeping revolver-butt strike that staggers enemies.
- Heavy Melee: Slam your iron fists down, creating a shockwave that applies a heavy slow and deals spirit damage.
- Widow Maker – Brew a batch of outlaw moonshine and toss a fiery flask that coats an area in blue ghost-fire, dealing spirit damage over time, silencing targets caught in the radius, and reducing their bullet resistance.
- High Noon (Ultimate) – Mark targets in front of you with a phantom gaze, building up critical focus over a channel duration. When the channel ends or is reactivated early, Danny unleashes a barrage of unblockable phantom bullets that instantly pierce through targets, dealing massive spirit damage based on how long the mark was built.
