Don’t miss the MTN SHIFT event at CapeGate this weekend

Are you in Cape Town or surrounding areas this weekend? If so, you are in luck, as we are excited to report that the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience is taking place, thanks to MTN, South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), and a host of sponsors. Here’s what you need to know about the MTN SHIFT event at CapeGate Mall.

MTN SHIFT CapeGate Mall event details

First off, keep in mind that this is an in-person event, so you must be at the CapeGate Mall to enjoy the activities. It runs from 14 to 16 August. If you don’t want to compete, you can always go and watch, or support the competitors.

The CapeGate Mall address is Cnr. Okavango Rd &, De Bron Rd, Cape Town, 7562.

The main event is the qualifier for the EA FC 26 National Football Tournament. There are the following prizes up for grabs:

• 1st – R2,500 gift card
• 2nd – R1,500 gift card
• 3rd – R1,000 gift card

The winner also gets to compete in the National Final at Canal Walk on 30 August 2026, where a huge R50,000 prize pool is on the line.
