COD Black Ops 7 results from EWC 2026

At the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event, Call of Duty fans already got to see G2 Esports lift the Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 trophy. However, there was another, more traditional COD tournament to enjoy as well: the Black Ops 7 event!

The 16 best teams in the world competed for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool, roughly R16.2 million at the current exchange rate. Sparks flew right from the start, as the Group Stage whittled down the competition to the final eight.

In the Playoffs Stage, the CDL 2026 Stage 4 Major champions and CDL 2026 Championship runners-up, OpTic Gaming, proved an unstoppable force.

OpTic Gaming first took out the current world champions, FaZe Clan, earning their revenge with a shockingly clean 4-0 win in the Quarterfinals. A thrilling Semifinals match against 100 Thieves saw OpTic Gaming emerge victorious 4-3, earning a spot in the Grand Final.

In the Grand Final of Black Ops 7 at EWC 2026, OpTic Gaming clashed against Team Heretics in a back-and-forth affair that ended 5-3 in favor of OpTic Gaming. With the win, they claimed the coveted trophy and the lion’s share of the prize pool. Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro was named the MVP. Congratulations!
