If you are a FIFA 23 esports fan, then you should definitely not miss out on your chance to compete for a shot at becoming the South African champion and joining the national team. That’s where the South African Football Association (SAFA)’s eCup comes into play, and registration closes relatively soon.

SAFA eCup details

So first up, registration for the SAFA eCup is completely free. You can simply head on over to SAFA.gg to start the registration process. This event features both online qualifiers and an offline event for the grand finals. Registration closes on 30 January 2023, so don’t miss out.

Participants will compete in 3 rounds of qualifiers from 4 February to 6 March 2023. The top eight players from the qualifiers and the top eight players of the FIFA Global Series (on 1 March 2023) will make up the final sixteen to participate in the grand final, which takes place on 25 March.

SAFA explains: “If you believe that you have what it takes to become South African champion in FIFA23 on Playstation 5 and be part of the national team, then register for the SAFA eCUP to compete with the best and make the final 16 in the SAFA eCup grand finals on the 25 March 2023 to determine the new national team for 2023.”

The top three players will automatically qualify to be invited into the official SAFA Gaming national team roaster for 2023.

Good luck to everyone competing! We are excited to see who will join the national team this year.
