PSG.LGD sweeps Elephant at OGA Dota Pit Season 5

A total of eight top Chinese Dota 2 esports teams recently competed for their share of the $150,000 prize pool at OGA Dota Pit Season 5: China. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R2,1 million. In the tournament, we also saw five teams that have qualified for The International 10 compete.

Since China is one of the strongest regions in Dota 2 each year, and OGA Dota Pit Season 5: China is one of the last big tournaments, it was very exciting to watch. In case you couldn’t watch the action live, we’ve got you covered with the final results and standings.

OGA Dota Pit Season 5: China results

After a gruelling round-robin group stage, Invictus Gaming sat atop Group A, while Elephant claimed the top spot in Group B. At the same time, Sparking Arrow Gaming and Aster.Aries was eliminated.

Heading into the playoffs, Elephant beat Vici Gaming with a clean 2-0, and followed it up with a 2-1 win over Invictus Gaming to claim a spot in the grand final. For PSG.LGD, things didn’t start off as planned, as they got knocked down to the lower bracket by Royal Never Give Up.

PSG.LGD, however, fought back in the lower bracket, beating Vici Gaming 2-1, Team Aster 2-0, and Invictus Gaming 2-0 to make their way to the grand final of OGA Dota Pit Season 5: China. In the grand final, PSG.LGD didn’t give Elephant any hope, sweeping them 3-0 to win the title of OGA Dota Pit Season 5: China champions.

Final standings and prizes:
  • 1st place – PSG.LGD wins $62,500
  • 2nd place – Elephant wins $32,500
  • 3rd place – Invictus Gaming wins $17,500
  • 4th place – Team Aster wins $12,500
  • 5th & 6th place – RNGU and Vici Gaming win $7,500 each
  • 7th & 8th place – Sparking Arrow Gaming and Aster.Aries win $5,000 each
