With the Intel Africa Masters qualifiers continuing, South African tournament organizer Mettlestate has a lot going on. That, however, doesn’t mean Mettlestate is slacking on the Cash Cups for local gamers this week. Here’s what you need to know.
Mettlestate Cash Cups this week
From 29 August to 4 September, there are five Cash Cups for South African gamers to compete in at Mettlestate. From Fortnite to Pokemon Unite and more, there’s a little something for everyone.
Check out all the important details for this week’s cash cups below. Times are South African Standard Time (SAST). The information above was sourced via the Mettlestate event page.
- Fortnite cup – Solos tournament starting on Monday, 29 August at 19:30.
- COD Mobile Battle Royale cup – Solos battle royale tournament starting on Tuesday, 30 August at 19:30.
- Pokemon Unite cup – 5v5 tournament starting on Wednesday, 31 August at 19:30.
- Garena Free Fire cup – Solos battle royale tournament starting on Thursday, 1 September at 19:30.
- Apex Legends Mobile cup – Trios battle royale tournament starting on Saturday, 3 September at 14:00.
All these tournaments are free to enter but feature a base prize pool of R1,000. Check-ins open 1 hour before the tournaments get underway.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
- 2nd place – R300 (R600 with VIP)
- 3rd place – R200 (R400 with VIP)
