Valve announces The International 2023 with dates and venue
The annual The International tournament is not only considered the biggest in Dota 2 esports, but arguably in esports in general, boasting record-breaking prize pools and a spectacle of the best teams in the world competing for the Aegis of Champions. Now, Valve has announced the dates and venue for The International 2023!
The International 2023 first details
Dota 2 esports fans can now mark their calendars. The International 2023 will be returning to Seattle, United States, this October. The event will take place at the Climate Pledge Arena, and according to the announcement by Valve, it will be “welcoming the largest audience in the event’s history.”
While not many South Africans might be able to make it to watch The International 2023 in person, it is also very exciting to watch alone or at viewing parties with your friends and fellow gamers.
Valve has noted that the Group Stage will begin on 14 October 2023, followed by the playoffs. Both these sections will be under the banner of “The Road to The International”, which Valve will share more details about in the “coming weeks.”
The main event, The International, will start on 27 October 2023, and run until 29 October 2023. Valve will provide ticket information and more details on this new “The Road to the International” closer to the event, and we are excited about this change.
