ESL One Birmingham 2024 viewer’s guide

Top-tier Dota 2 esports returns to the UK with ESL One Birmingham 2024 this month. For those who want to catch all the action, we’ve got you covered with a complete viewer’s guide, sharing the essential details all fans need to know about, so let’s jump in.

ESL One Birmingham 2024 details

ESL One Birmingham 2024 runs from 22 to 28 April 2024, with 12 of the best teams in the world competing for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R19 million.

The action begins on 22 April with a Round-Robin group stage which will run until 24 April. There are two groups of six teams each, and all matches consist of two games. The top two teams from each group qualify for the upper bracket of the playoffs, and the third/fourth place teams advance to the lower bracket, while the rest are eliminated.

Group A teams:
  • Team Liquid
  • BetBoom Team
  • G2 x iG
  • Shopify Rebellion
  • Team Falcons
  • Talon Esports
Group B teams:
  • OG
  • Team Spirit
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Tundra Esports
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • HEROIC

From 26 to 28 April 2024, we will see the remaining eight teams compete in the double-elimination playoffs bracket at the Resorts World Arena venue. All matches are BO3, with the exception of the grand final, which is BO5.

Since the event takes place in the UK, it should be rather easy for South Africans to watch, with agreeable start and end times each day. You can catch all the ESL One Birmingham 2024 action via the ESL Dota 2 Twitch channel, as well as the multi-stream on the ESL website.
