Your guide to Rocket League at EWC 2026
The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event is well underway, with only eight of the 25 tournaments left to go. One of the most exciting events this week is none other than Rocket League, with the best teams in the world competing for glory and a huge prize pool.
The Rocket League tournament at EWC 2026 kicks off on 12 August and runs until Sunday, 16 August. Teams are competing for their share of the $1 million prize pool (roughly R16.2 million), and one player will also receive an additional $25,000 when named the MVP.
Rocket League at EWC 2026 starts with the Group Stage (12 to 14 August), where the 16 teams are split into two groups of eight each, featuring a GSL-style format. Four teams per group advance to the Playoffs Stage, which will take place on 15 and 16 August 2026.
The Playoffs Stage features a single-elimination bracket format, where all matches are BO7, except for the 3rd-place match, which is BO5.
